A 17-year-old is facing multiple charges after Ben Hill County law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at a local apartment complex Wednesday, July 15.
According to the sheriff’s office, a scammer has been contacting citizens while identifying himself as “Sergeant Anthony Fields” with the Ben Hill County Sheriff’s Office.
The South Central Drug Task Force of Irwin County and the Fitzgerald Police Department arrested two people in connection with a methamphetamine trafficking case.
BHCSO said officials searched a residence in the 300 block of West Ohoopee Street after gathering information about a person who had previously been arrested for selling methamphetamine in December 2025.
The teens, ages 17, 17, 18 and 19, were arrested after the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) responded to reports of a shooting on Highway 158 on Sunday, Feb. 1. None of the arrestees are from Coffee County, according to the GBI.
On Wednesday, Jan. 14, the Uniform Division of Patrol Deputies responded to multiple reports of entering autos on the Northeast side of Ben Hill County.
The library system said the change allows for more response flexibility, enabling CPRLS to better support its branches and to serve an evolving and growing community

The officers were exposed simply by breathing the air while responding to two possible overdose calls, according to the Fitzgerald Police Department (FPD).
