ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — TODAY: Another mild start with an isolated shower. We heat up to near 90 degrees this afternoon and heat indices shy of 100 once again. Scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected.

THURSDAY-FRIDAY: Muggier start and heating up back to average in the lower 90s and heat index numbers near 100. Scattered PM showers and storm may cool some off.

WEEKEND: Heat index numbers soar above 100 in the afternoons, but some better rain chances mean that a heat advisory is not expected.

EARLY WEEK: Drier and hotter weather is expected. High temperatures are expected to reach the middle 90s and heat indices near 105. Only a few showers and thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon.
