Third teen arrested, new charges filed in Webster County double homicide
WEBSTER COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — Investigators have arrested a third teenager and filed additional charges in the July 1 double homicide that left two young men dead along a rural Webster County road.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Region 3 Office and the Webster County Sheriff’s Office say 18-year-old Nacorian Kanard Williams was taken into custody Thursday, July 16, 2026, in connection with the deaths of 17-year-old Jo’Quavious Jones and 19-year-old Zekevian James.

Jones and James were found dead on July 1 on Twin Towers Road in Webster County, according to the GBI.

New arrest, multiple charges
Investigators say Williams was arrested without incident and is facing:
- Two counts of felony murder
- Two counts of aggravated assault
- Conspiracy to commit a crime (felony)
- Possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain crimes
- Armed robbery
He is being held at the Sumter County Jail in Americus.
Two other 18-year-olds already in custody
Williams is the third suspect charged in the case.
On Tuesday, July 14, the GBI and Webster County deputies arrested two other 18-year-olds: Kemarion Tyrique Latimer and Terrence Terrell Bell Jr. Both were initially charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
On July 16, investigators filed additional charges against Latimer and Bell mirroring those against Williams: conspiracy to commit a felony, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain crimes, and armed robbery.
All three defendants are currently being held at the Sumter County Jail.
Investigation still active
The GBI says the investigation remains active and ongoing. No further details about the motive, what led up to the shootings, or the evidence tying the three suspects to the crime have been released.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Authorities say no additional details will be released at this time while the investigation continues.
