Person seriously injured in DeKalb County shooting, police say

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A person suffered “serious injuries” in a DeKalb County shooting on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

Officers were called to the incident on Blazing Pine Path, a residential area in unincorporated Decatur, at around 11:38 a.m. The victim, who was shot once, was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Police said the shooting is still under investigation. No suspects have been identified, and the circumstances behind the shooting are unknown.
