Phoebe Sumter Medical Center hosting free children’s health fair in Americus
Free screenings, supplies and lunch offered for kids ages 5 to 17
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — Phoebe Sumter Medical Center is hosting a free children’s health fair in Americus on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event will be held at the Columns Building at Boone Park on Rucker Street and is open to children ages 5 to 17.
What to expect at the health fair
Giveaways and community partners
Free health screenings will be available for weight, BMI and blood pressure. Children who participate will also receive a free healthy lunch.
Organizers will distribute free fruit and vegetable boxes and back-to-school supplies while supplies last. Partners supporting the event include Healthy Sumter, Flint River Fresh, Walmart and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.
Music and games will also be available at the event.
