10 rural hospitals across Ga. received $400K donation from Colony Bank

FITZGERALD, Ga. (WALB) - Colony Bank’s recent $400K contribution to ten rural hospitals across Georgia through the Georgia HEART Hospital Program.

The program will help amplify healthcare funding and promote community well-being.

The Georgia HEART program aims to support rural hospitals by increasing their funding and ability to provide healthcare to patients in Georgia.

According to Heath Fountain, Chief Executive Officer, “We’re grateful to be able to participate in the Georgia HEART program. It provides a wonderful opportunity to reinvest in the communities where many of our team members and customers reside. With this contribution, we’re able to give back to the participating hospitals in our markets and ultimately contribute to the improvement of healthcare delivery in our communities.”

The 10 Georgia hospitals that received a $40,000 donation from Colony Bank include Brooks County Hospital, Coffee Regional Medical Center, Colquitt Regional Medical Center, Crisp Regional Hospital, Dodge County Hospital, Dorminy Medical Center, Phoebe Worth Medical Center, Polk Medical Center, Tift Regional Medical Center, and Upson Regional Medical Center.

Since 2022, Colony Bank has contributed a total of $900K to rural hospitals through the Georgia HEART program.
