ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A plea for information in an Albany woman’s death has remained unanswered for two years.

Meesha Patel, 33, died after she was shot during an attempted car-jacking outside of Devi’s Convenience Store in November 2018.

A suspect has not been identified. At the time of the incident, surveillance video showed the suspect was dressed in dark clothing and was wearing a hoodie, mask and blue gloves.

In April 2019, the Albany Police Department (APD) renewed its call for information in Patel’s case.

On Tuesday, an APD spokesperson said there have been no new leads in the case.

Anyone with information is asked to call Albany Area CrimeStoppers at (229) 436-TIPS.
