Miller County Hospital to expand nursing home facility

MILLER CO., GA (WALB) - Miller County Hospital is expanding its nursing home facility.

The state approved their certificate of need to add two new wings to their nursing home facility.
They'll add 50 beds and 100 employees, increasing the hospital's employment to 500.

"We are the biggest economic engine now in this region," said Robin Rau, Miller County Hospital CEO. "It really is about economic development for us and excellent care."

It's a $4 million project.
The first phase of construction will start this summer.
