ALBANY, GA (WALB) - First class stamps are going up in price again. Starting January 26th, it'll cost you 49 cents to mail a letter.
The increase is called temporary and is supposed to only last for two years.
"I really don't buy stamps. I pay all my bills here locally. I don't have to invest in them that much," said Kim Muldrow, Albany Resident.
"To some people it's a penny or two pennies, but over the course of a year or two that's quite a bit for a person with a small amount of money coming to a household," said E. Charles Thomas, Albany Resident.
Bulk mail, periodicals and package rates are also expected to raise by 6-percent.
