‘Showtime at the Apollo’ co-host Kiki Shepard dies at 74

(CNN) - Kiki Shepard, the co-host of the “Showtime at the Apollo” variety show, died.

Shepard died of a heart attack, her representative said.

Shepard was on “Showtime at the Apollo” from 1987 to 2002, appearing with various emcees including Steve Harvey and Mark Curry.

During that time, Shepard also appeared on other shows including “Baywatch” and “A Different World.”

She also appeared in several films including “A Rage in Harlem” and “Blackjack Christmas.”

Shepard was 74.
