FBI offering $5,000 reward for information on Forsyth Park acid attack

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The FBI Atlanta is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible for the acid attack that happened in Forsyth Park on Dec 10.

The FBI and Savannah Police have also set up a digital tipline where people can submit photos and videos that may help investigators.

Any digital tips can be uploaded to www.fbi.gov/forsythparkattack.

According to investigators, a man randomly poured chemicals on a woman before fleeing the area. The victim has been identified as Ashley Wasielewski.

Wasielewski is currently receiving specialized burn treatment, including skin grafts, at a hospital in Augusta.
