$1 billion Powerball jackpot, second largest of the year, up for grabs tonight

(CNN) - There is still time to try to become the nation’s next billionaire.

Powerball’s jackpot crossed $1 billion ahead of Saturday night’s drawing.

This is the second jackpot to cross that threshold this year.

The lump sum cash option is roughly $458 million.

Powerball may have Mega Millions to thank for the $1 billion jackpot.

Powerball ticket sales have pulled way ahead since Mega Millions hiked its ticket price in April.
