(CNN) – There’s a recall for a lawn care tool because of a potential laceration risk.

TTI Outdoor Power Equipment has recalled roughly 113,000 hedge trimmers due to a laceration hazard.

The recall covers RYOBI 40-volt 24-inch cordless hedge trimmers.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the blade can unexpectedly activate after the user presses just the safety or trigger control individually, instead of engaging the controls simultaneously.

There have been 27 reports of the blade activating after pressing just one of the controls.

That includes 16 reports of minor injuries and some severe lacerations.

The hedge trimmers were sold at Home Depot and Direct Tools Factory Outlet stores nationwide as well as online.

Consumers are urged to stop using the hedge trimmer and check RYOBI’s website to see if their trimmer is part of the recall.

If so, it must be returned to TTI Outdoor Power Equipment for a free replacement.
