BROXTON, Ga. (WALB) - The Broxton Police Department (BPD) conducted a traffic stop resulting in a narcotics arrest on Tuesday, March 11.

At around 9:55 p.m., BPD officers conducted a traffic stop on US 441 N.

During the stop, officers found a “large amount of narcotics” in a bag made of artificial turf or carpet. Inside each bag, there were several shrink wrap narcotics packages along with a cell phone, according to the incident report.

Officers also found a large unmanned aerial vehicle, known as a UAV or a drone.

As a result of the stop, Amanda McCall, 31, and Gustavo Carranza, 37, were arrested and taken to the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office for violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act, according to the report.
