Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office reminding public to stay vigilant after series of entering auto incidents

COLQUITT COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - The Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office asking the public to stay vigilant following a series of entering auto incidents on Thursday night.
A post by the sheriff’s office said that the incidents happened in a neighborhood off Highway 37 E.
“We do know that if a thief wants to get into a vehicle they will go as far to even break a window,” the post said.
The sheriff’s office is reminding residents to remove all valuable property from vehicles, especially guns, money, pocketbooks, and electronics. Also, ensure that cameras on the house or around the property are properly working.
Residents are asked to call 911 if they see anyone or anything suspicious in the area.
