GBI investigating homicide in Pelham, victim identified

Currently, no arrests have been made, according to a GBI statement.

PELHAM, Ga. (WALB) - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is investigating an early morning homicide in Pelham.

Officials say a shooting happened early on Wednesday, Oct. 2, and left one man dead.

According to Mitchell County Coroner Jamey Thompson, an E-911 call came in around 1:00 a.m. of a man found dead on the ground. The GBI says they were called around 1:35 a.m. to help in an investigation after a body was found in the 4300 block of Second Street.

Leonard Dennerson IV was identified as the man.

Currently, no arrests have been made, according to a GBI statement.
