VIDEO: Around 3K gallons of diesel catch on fire in Sumter County

SUMTER COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - Firefighters in Sumter County put out a major diesel tank fire Monday afternoon.

Just before 1 p.m., fire units were called to Lee St Road and Bowen Rd to reports of a fuel tank on fire.

Once on scene, the first firefighters found that two separate tanks with approximately 3,000 gallons of diesel fuel were on fire.

According to the Sumter County Fire Rescue, they were able to get the blaze under control within 20 minutes.

No injuries have been reported.
