77-year-old bicyclist dies in crash with carriage

MACKINAC ISLAND, Mich. (Gray News) – A 77-year-old woman riding a bicycle died from a crash involving a carriage in Michigan Wednesday.
According to the Mackinac Island Police Department, the 77-year-old woman was taken to a hospital in Petoskey to be treated for injuries, where she later died.
Police said the woman was riding westbound near Main Street and Bogan Lane around 2:15 p.m. when she collided with a carriage going the other direction.
Several agencies responded to the crash, which remains under investigation.
