Pregnant Chick-fil-A manager killed in car accident 24 hours before her baby shower
BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WALB/Gray News) - A pregnant Chick-fil-A co-general manager died in a car accident 24 hours before her baby shower.
Panama City Police responded to the intersection of Highway 231 and Highway 390 involving a car accident on Saturday. Police said 33-year-old Kristen Brooke Clark’s car crashed into a Bay County Sheriff’s Office prisoner transport van.
WALB reported that while police are still investigating the cause of the crash, they said Clark was headed north behind the transport van and failed to yield.

Emergency crews quickly responded. However, Clark died from her injuries. Police also said seven others, including three prisoners who were in the transport van, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to Bainbridge Chick-fil-A Marketing Director Krystal Apke, Clark was 7 months pregnant with baby Asher Blaze, who also died from the accident.
Apke also shared that the Chick-fil-A team planned to throw her a baby shower on Sunday.
“Not only are we sad that we’ve lost a friend and a co-worker, but we’ve also lost family, and not able to meet that new life is definitely heartbreaking,” she told WALB.
Clark has worked at the fast-food chain restaurant in Bainbridge since it opened four years ago. Her sudden death caused the location to shut down on Saturday. However, they have since reopened.
Clark leaves behind another son along with her extended work family.
