(Gray News) - A sheriff’s detective is recovering after having a second heart attack while his daughter is in the NICU, according to a GoFundMe created for his family.

Robert Wright, 36, is a sheriff’s detective with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department and suffered a heart attack on Dec. 7. Earlier this month, he suffered another one and was admitted to the hospital where he was put into a forced coma.

At the same time, his wife, Heather Wright, was admitted to another hospital to monitor her pregnancy at 28 weeks.

On Feb. 14, just 24 hours after Robert Wright woke up from the coma and was recovering, Heather Write had an emergency C-section.

“Their small but beautiful baby girl came into the world: Raelynn,” the GoFundMe reads.

Raelynn weighed just over one pound and will be in the NICU for the next 10 weeks.

Robert Wright is still in the hospital. He is using an Impella heart pump to help maintain blood flow and allow his heart to rest.

More than $17,000 has been raised on GoFundMe for the family.
