ATLANTA (WALB) - Over 5 million COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the Peach State, according to a release from Gov. Brian Kemp’s office.
Over 3.2 million Georgians have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine, which includes 82 percent of Georgia seniors.
In the past 12 days, Georgia administered 1 million vaccines to reach the 5 million mark, according to Kemp’s office.
“Over the last 12 days, public health officials and our partners in the private sector have administered 1 million vaccines,” Kemp said. “I greatly appreciate their hard work.
Kemp said he continues to urge all Georgians to schedule a vaccine appointment.
