Dr. Daugherty graduated in 1984 from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Upon graduation he received the Pediatric Dentistry Award, Endodontic (Root Canal) Award, State and National International College of Dentists Awards for Professionalism, and Pierre Fouchard Award for Achieving Above and Beyond. He was also recognized as the "Outstanding Health Care Professional for 2000" by the ABAC Alumni Association.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Southwestern District Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and is a Pankey Institute dentist. Dr. Daugherty is currently the chairman of the Worth County Board of Health and was recently appointed to the Worth/Phoebe Putney Hospital board.
Dr. Daugherty has completed numerous continuation hours including all of Dr. Pete Dawson's courses in St. Petersburg, Florida and is currently involved in the curriculum at the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida which is considered one of the top teaching institutions in the world. He and his staff attend many courses in order to stay abreast of the always changing technology and methods developed in dentistry.
