ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Police Department is looking for an identity theft suspect, and officers need your help identifying the woman.
According to Albany police, their help was requested by the Atlanta Police Department after a woman said she had received a credit card in the mail she did not apply for.
Albany officers explained that the information from Atlanta states that an unknown person had used the victim's identity to apply for a credit line of $10,500 at Kay's Jewelers at the Albany Mall and then spent $3,000 on that line of credit.
The woman was last seen at Kay Jewelers in the mall, according to Albany police.
This investigation is active and ongoing.
