BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) - Governor Nathan Deal and the Bainbridge legislative delegation were on hand at this morning's Taurus factory groundbreaking in Bainbridge.
The 205,000 square foot Taurus factory building will supply 300 jobs for the Decatur Co. community. The company will invest more than $22.5 million in infrastructure and operations to establish a firearms manufacturing plant in Bainbridge.
Officials said the company is relocating to Georgia from its Miami, Florida headquarters.
They expect the plant to be finished by the end of August 2019.
Bainbridge and Decatur County officials, along with the chamber said they were grateful to Governor Deal for his leadership in making Georgia the number one state in the country in which to do business.
