ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A double fatal wreck occurred in Albany late Wednesday morning, according to officials.

Coroner Michael Fowler confirmed a father and daughter from Alabama died in the crash on Clark Avenue, near the Liberty Bypass.

They were identified as Aubrey David Roberson, 64, and Alisha Catherine Roberson, 30, both of Sylacauga.

The Albany Police Department said that a city worker saw the 2000 Dodge Dakota about 10:00 in the morning.

They said the truck came off the Liberty Bypass ramp, went across Clark Avenue, over the curb, and down a steep ditch, striking the embankment.

Neither one was wearing a seatbelt.

The Google Maps App in the truck displayed directions to Jacksonville, Florida.
