Dept. of Human Services kicks off Shoebox Project for foster kids

ATLANTA, GA (WALB) - The Georgia Department of Human Services needs your help with its annual Shoebox Project.

Every year, the department collects back-to-school supplies for foster kids.

That includes things like paper, pens and crayons, but the department is also asking for small toys and hygiene products.

Some of the items include:

  • Stuffed animal
  • Books
  • Dolls
  • Lotion
  • Toothbrushes
  • Notepads
  • Markers
  • Dictionary
  • Pencils and more
