SUMTER CO., GA (WALB) - Reames Concrete Company is expanding, bringing new jobs and opportunities to Sumter County.
The company broke ground on a 10-acre site in the Ted Baldwin Business and Technology Park back in June.
Within three months, Reames hopes to have a fully-functional manufacturing facility and retention pond on that land.
The company specializes in commercial, educational and industrial projects that many commercial companies and local school districts use.
This is its 12th location in Georgia, including another facility in Americus.
Sumter County Development Authority Executive Director Barbara Grogan said the county is "more than glad to partner with Reames and looks forward to a great future of an attractive, productive facility that not only provides a homegrown, world renown product for Sumter County to share with the world."
