THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation confirmed Monday Deanna Shirey's body began undergoing an autopsy.

Shirey, 70, was found dead, rolled up in a comforter, on Robert Carter II's property after a 10-day search.

Carter was named a person of interest shortly after the initial reporting of Shirey's disappearance.

Law enforcement officials have said no charges have been brought against Carter because the cause of death has not been determined. Carter also is facing other charges stemming from a separate incident.
