DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) - Investigators are getting an arrest warrant for a woman who they said came into a 94-year-old man's home and stole money from his wallet.

It happened Monday around 3 p.m.

Thomas Hendrix led two children and a man into another part of his home.

From surveillance video, you can hear the woman saying she is going to use the restroom.

Then she starts to walk back and forth in the home, then finds his wallet and starts to go through it.

Police said she stole $40 dollars out of Hendrix's wallet.

She then stuffs that money into her dress and goes back into the restroom to flush the toilet.

Neil DeLoach lives with Hendrix and is his caretaker, he said he was not home when this happened and cannot believe people would be so brave.

"Well, first of all, I didn't know who they were. I was kind of panicking. I knew Mr. Hendrix didn't know them. It kind of scared me that I've got security cameras all over the property that you can see and they still came right in and you know, very brave. And that's what scares me about the whole situation, people are just brave," said DeLoach.

DeLoach has lived with Hendrix for 10 years now.

He said he doesn't know why Hendrix let the group inside, but he plans to install more cameras around his home.

The woman could face a misdemeanor charge of theft by taking.

Police have already identified that woman but they could not release her name. They said they found her when she responded to the surveillance video posted to Facebook.
