VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - A total of seven cars were involved in the accident on North Valdosta Road and Foxborough that brought out multiple agencies, and tied up the road for some time.
Law enforcement tells WALB that William Wood, 36, a Brooks County resident was at fault.
Wood told deputies and troopers that the brakes on his Ford F-150 failed, and that caused him to hit six stopped vehicles, and go airborne.
Others sustained minor injuries, and Wood was the only one taken to the hospital, but is stable.
Wood is being charged with DUI and Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana, after officers said they found some in his vehicle, and he refused a blood test at the hospital.
Deputies will arrest him as soon as he is released from the hospital.
