ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Civic Center, auditorium and Veterans Park Amphitheater are now under new leadership.

Spectra, the management company over those facilities, hired Josh Small to oversee booking and daily operations.

"I'm pleased that Spectra has selected an experienced manager for our Albany locations," said Albany City Manager Sharon Subadan." This represents a strong start and I'm anticipating great things from Josh."

Smith has over 12 years of experience in the entertainment industry, most recently as the general manager at the USC Aiken Convocation Center in South Carolina.

"I'm excited to move my family to Albany and get started in my new role as GM of the Civic Center," Small said. "Every community member I've met has been extremely welcoming and has made me feel at home."

The North Carolina native is relocating to the Good Live City with his wife and two children.

"We are thrilled that our partnership with the Good Life City has come to fruition, and that Josh will be leading the charge," Trent Merritt, regional vice president for Spectra, said. "There are significant growth opportunities across the three venues. We look forward to developing these opportunities, becoming a great community partner, and bringing more events to the region."

Small's official start date was May 1.
