BEN HILL CO., GA (WALB) - Ben Hill County is the latest Georgia county to join the massive lawsuit against opioid manufacturers and distributors.

The lawsuit focuses on the manufacturers and distributors of the highly addictive drug.

County leaders hope to seek reimbursement for the money they spent fighting the crisis.

The Centers for Disease Control said Ben Hill County had one of the highest prescription rates in the state in 2016.
