Speeding stop yields 16 bags of marijuana

ALMA, GA (WALB) - On Thursday afternoon, August 10th, the Alma Police Department stopped a vehicle for speeding on Georgia Highway 32 East.
During the course of the traffic stop, officers discovered sixteen bags of marijuana, and a handgun, which reported stolen in Ware County.
Jarvis Laron Belcher, 20, of Waycross, was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and theft by receiving stolen property.
Belcher was taken to the Bacon County jail.
