4-year-old boy nearly drowns at Albany hotel pool

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Fire Captain Michael Styles said a child was taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon after almost drowning.

According to Capt. Styles, it happened at the pool at the Merry Acres Inn.

We're told a nurse was on scene and gave the four-year-old boy CPR on scene until EMS got there.

Officials say the child was breathing on scene and was taken to the hospital.

As of just before 9 p.m. Saturday night, the child was listed in fair condition at Phoebe.
