Lee Co. student charged after threat on Snapchat
LEE CO., GA (WALB) - A Lee County High School student is now facing charges of terroristic threats after a Snapchat threat surfaced.
The Lee County High School principal confirmed that a threat was made on Snapchat during lunchtime Thursday.
The Leesburg Police chief said the student posted a picture of a book bag and said there was a gun inside.
Officials said there was no immediate threats to students so the school didn't need to be placed on lockdown.
The school will hold a tribunal to determine what action will be taken.
Several viewers have sent in a photo that they believe is tied to this investigation, and we are working to confirm it with police.
