ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Just before 4:00AM Thursday, two men armed with guns stole a cell phone from a gas tanker driver outside the BP station at Dawson Road and Westgate Drive.

They went into the store next, fired multiple shots into the ceiling, and stole money from the cash register.

One accomplice made a clerk go to the store's safe, and demanded that he open it. The clerk, Krishan Taneja, said he couldn't open it, and the bandit shot him in the leg.

APD says the suspects are black men who had T-shirts pulled over their faces, and ran off after they shot the clerk.

Krishan Taneja was taken to the hospital; for treatment of a gun shot wound.
