BOSTON, GA (WALB) - Investigators said a man died Wednesday night while mowing his lawn.
Officials said they believe it happened between 6 - 8 p.m., but they do not have an exact time at the moment.
They said Clark Griffis, 57, was on an embankment and his lawn mower flipped over on top of him.
This happened on South Norton Street in Boston, Georgia.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
"We all here know the family, it was just a sad, tragic accident. It could happen in the blink of an eye when an accident like that occurs. And it could happen to any of us," said Capt. Steve Jones, Thomas County Sheriff's Office.
Griffis owned a Boston pest control business and was well known in the Boston community.
