LOWNDES CO., GA (WALB) - The Air Force issued a statement Monday, after saying a woman who worked as a civilian was found dead on base Sunday.

The Air Force says "a civilian employee of Moody Air Force Base lodging was found unresponsive while on duty Sunday."

They identified the woman as Lisa M. Williams, who is survived by her husband Scott Williams, and their daughters Sarah Williams and Kimberly Brown.

Local civilian authorities are working to determine the official cause of death, the Air Force said.

"It is a great loss to us all when we lose a member of our Air Force family. Team Moody and I extend our deepest condolences to family and friends during this difficult time," said Col. Thomas Kunkel, 23d Wing commander.

WALB will have more information when it is available.
