ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany woman is worried about her safety and her neighbors after an alligator encounter.
Someone knocked on Tangy Wright's door on Phillips Drive last week to notify her that two alligators were in her front yard.
Her dog was knicked by one of the gators before a DNR game warden came and captured them.
She wants to warn others in the area to take precautions.
"I'm not so scared that I would want to leave my property," said Wright. "But I'm scared that someone else might walk out and encounter the same thing. And that's why I'm telling you now. That is not okay."
Wright believes the gators may have been living in a holding pond near her backyard.
