Angry girlfriend hits boyfriend with car, arrested

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany woman has been charged with aggravated assault for trying to run her boyfriend over with a car in a busy store parking lot.
23-year-old Tiara Thornton was arrested on Monday, when police witnessed her hit Rontavis Davis with the car.
An Albany Police Officer said that around 2:30 p.m. Monday afternoon Thornton was chasing Davis around the Rite Aid parking lot on Dawson Road, and then he dove onto the car hood to keep from being run over.
Davis told Police that Thornton went through his phone and found where he had been texting other women.
Thornton was released from the Dougherty County jail on a $6,000 bond.
