THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - School is out, but some rising sixth graders in Thomasville are still learning.

Thomas University hosted a camp offering a hands-on approach to technology.

Only a few students from each elementary school in Thomasville and Thomas County were invited to attend

Wednesday's lesson involved flying drones.

"I think that anytime you can get kids in sixth grade and up to start focusing on a career and find something that's interesting to them is always a benefit," said Bruce Buckley, Drone Instructor.

Students will make rockets Thursday at the Challenger Learning Center.
