ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Georgia DNR is investigating a two-boat accident involving 6 people. Dougherty County EMS officials said two boats collided around a blind turn near Cromartie Beach Landing.

The accident happened around 6:30 Saturday night. DNR officials and EMS crews responded to the boat landing.

One boat had 2 passengers, and the other boat had 4 passengers. One person was thrown out of the boats.

No one was seriously injured.

"This was clearly a lack of experience as far as on the water and dealing with matters and rules of the [water]," said Ranger Eric White with the Georgia DNR.

Authorities do not suspect alcohol contributed to the crash.
