Former car dealer racks up more than 30 theft charges

LEE CO., GA (WALB) - A former Albany used car dealer had 16 more charges of theft by deception filed against him on Thursday.

46-year-old Jesus Arango now faces more than 30 theft charges filed by customers and the Sheriff's Office.

Investigators said that Arango was overcharging A&J Car Care customers, stealing their ad valorem tax money, and not giving them their titles or tags.

On Tuesday, Lee County Sheriff's Officers arrested Arango at his home on additional warrants.

At first Arango refused to come out of his home, but was finally taken to the Dougherty County jail.
