Man dies, woman arrested in Albany stabbing

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A man is dead and a woman in custody following an early morning stabbing Saturday. According to police, Charles Porter, 39, and Kamesha Jackson, 34, had an argument.
At some point around 4 a.m. Saturday morning, Jackson stabbed Porter in the upper thigh with a knife near 806 Blaylock Street. Porter lost a significant amount of blood and was transported to the hospital.
Porter's condition was labeled critical, and Jackson was taken into custody on the scene. At 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon, Porter died from his injuries.
Police said charges are expected to be upgraded from aggravated assault to murder on Monday.
