COLQUITT, GA (WALB) - Efforts are still underway to revive murals throughout the city of Colquitt. Officials from the Arts Council said they will need $15,000 for the repairs.
One of the murals that honors first responders was damaged from a storm back in August. There are also 18 other murals that need to be touched up around town.
The Council said with the extent of the storm, the "Nothing but a Will" mural is their main focus.
"That is our biggest priority is getting that one fixed," said artistic director Kate Willis. "Right now it's missing two panels entirely so getting those repainted put back up getting the structure of the mural fixed is our biggest priority."
The group has an up coming fundraiser to help raise money to restore the murals.
If anyone wishes to aid in their cause, the Colquitt-Miller Arts Council may be reached at (229) 758-5450 for more information. You can also check out their website for information on the murals here.
