Man arrested in Verizon Wireless robbery

Albany police have arrested a man who attempted to rob Verizon Wireless on Westover Boulevard.
Officers said about 5:58 p.m., 24-year-old Solomon Loyd Johnson IV walked into the business and demanded money from the register.
Police arrived shortly after the alarm was activated. Johnson was unarmed and did not get away with anything.
He is charged with Robbery by Intimidation and Felony Obstruction of an officer.
