COLQUITT CO., GA (WALB) - A school football coach was charged with DUI after he was found asleep in his car by police, and then drove away.
It happened around 5:40 a.m. Saturday.
Officers said they found Steven Figueroa, who is also a teacher, asleep in his car near the corner of 17th Avenue and South Main Street.
According to a report, when an officer woke him up, Figueroa drove away.
He was later taken into custody on West Road and charged with DUI and driving on the wrong side of the road.
The Colquitt County School Superintendent did not return a request for comment on the arrest.
