Dual Enrollment Program helps Albany Tech

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Dual Enrollment Program at Albany Tech is helping the school.

This year more than 200 high school students are taking classes at Albany Tech. That's more than ever.

"We certainly have good relationships with those principals, those superintendents, the career counselors, etc. So we sit down every year with our high school partners and try to map out the next year or the next two years as far as objectives," said Dr. Anthony Parker, Albany Tech President.

The state senate recently passed a bill to make sure students who are dually enrolled can earn credit toward their high school diplomas while taking those college level courses.
