SASSER, GA (WALB) - Crews worked for hours Monday morning, trying to get a semi truck upright after it tipped and fell while going around a curve on Highway 82 in Sasser.

The tractor and trailer landed on their side, almost on a railroad track. The Paper Transport truck was hauling 80-thousand pounds of beer.

Quality Wrecker Service had about 10 workers using air bags to slowly lift the truck up, to save the load. "Sometimes its longer, sometimes its shorter. They ain't always easy and they ain't always hard. Up against the rocks like they are right here, it's just a little hard to get the bags up in place, a little tough," said Tommy Coulter, a heavy wrecker driver for Quality Wrecker Service.

The semi, and load were towed back to the facility, where the customer will decide what they will do with the beer.

Officials say they are investigating, but believe the truck tipped because it was a heavy load. No one was injured.
