ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Testing is underway in Albany to get equipment ready for the upcoming General Elections.

This year's general election will be held on November 4th. Advanced voting will be held October 13th through November 1st. The election equipment is now being tested for accuracy to make sure everything goes smoothly at the polls.

"Memory cards are inserted, just as if the voters are voting, to test it before Election Day and then it's sealed in preparation for that day," said Ginger Nickerson, Supervisor of Elections.

The last day to register for voting is Monday, October 6th. A current form of identification is also needed to vote.
